Sorry I've haven't been active lately but I've just been SO busy over the last few weeks with my exams and everything after. Last week I was on a little holiday in England but I'll have a few posts about that trip coming soon so i won't get into anything about that :)
Ok, so as I stated in so many of my last posts, I think this will just be a post about myself and stuff :)
So, my name is Kate Feeney, I'm 18 years old and I'm from Ireland :D I consider myself blond, however, in the last few years it has become apparent that I am not really blond anymore. My hair has darkened so much, but I don't really know what colour to consider it as it's not quite brown so maybe its just really dark blond :P As you'll see from pics of me I have a blond streak on the left side of my head. Now pretty much everyone who sees it thinks that I dye just this section of my hair but it is infact natural :P I have no idea where it came from but it is unusual just this one piece of hair that's bright blond and then the rest of my hair is dark blond, so it does draw question quite often.
Apart from that there's nothing else unusual or note worthy about my general appearance. It's mostly my eyes and my smile that gets most compliments. I have blue eyes that vary from being dark to really bright, i guess it just depends on the light :P I must say I do have a good smile. I had braces a few years ago at the end of primary school and start of secondary school so that's where I owe my perfectly straight smile to :)
Personality wise, I'm a fairly bubbly, happy, optimistic person. I also have a good sense of humour and I'm a fairly sarcastic person too XP I also try to be as open and honest as possible, especially with my friends, particularly with my closest friends, I don't hold back XD However, I'm someone who puts themselves out there or who has a strong personality, I tend to just keep to myself sometimes and I seem to have an amazing ability to be very awkward in certain situations. I also have the ability to be very condescending sometimes, well maybe not condescending but something similar, but its like I cant stop myself once I start and I ending up seeming like a right b**** when I'm really not, I think its just a coping mechanism for the awkies situations :P Although I can be quite lazy sometimes and procrastination is a good friend of mine, I love the sense of satisfaction I get from achieving things I've put time and effort to doing (like this post :P ) even if it takes me forever to actually get them done ;P I'm not sure what else I could say about myself here so I'll leave it at that for know :)
So the rest of my life lets see. Well there's five in my family; my Mom, my Dad and my two older sisters <3 I also have my brother-in-law and my niece and nephew along with all my aunts, uncles, cousins and my Nana :D
I just finished the Leaving Cert there almost two weeks ago for the second time. I did the Leaving Cert last year as well however, due to unfortunate subject choice in Fifth year one of my exams really let me down so I was left a few points short of getting into the course I wanted - Primary School Teaching - so I went back to school to do it again. I was lucky that it was easy to go back as my two best friends also happened to be repeating and my cousin and few other friends were there too. I have to say that this year was by far the best year I've ever had thanks to all my amazing and hilarious friends, I don't think I've ever laughed so much :D
So now I'm just ready to enjoy the summer and take it easy and spend time with all my nearest and dearest before the Leaving Cert/CAO results in mid August when I'll be finding out that hopefully I'll be heading to college, so fingers crossed :P :)
As for the blog, I'm not really sure where it came from to be honest :P One Saturday night I was just like 'hhmmm I'm so bored, ah sure why not set up a blog for the craic' and so, ya, that was basically it :P It was just for the craic but then when it came to the design and stuff and picking the name I was like 'oh this could actually be quite good :)' The design it predominately pink because, well, that;s my favourite colour :D The name on the other hand came rather quickly and easily even though my friend and fellow blogger (her blog is: http://chloesensemble.blogspot.ie/ ) But 'It's a Rosy World' came from a French expression I learned at school for my written pieces that is 'je vois la vie en rose' which basically means I'm an optimist or to see life through rose tinted glasses but I just loved the saying and when I was thinking about a name for the blog I thought that it sounded really nice so in the ended I went with my initial gut feeling :) So that was how the blog came to be :P
Well I think I've said far more then needs be here and apologies for the lengthiness but at least you know more a bit more about me and what I'm about :)
I'll have so more posts coming not long after this one all about summer and my travels so keep an eye out for those and I guess that's it for now, so as I always say, ttyls :*
